At Holy Cross, we consider fellowship to be an essential part of our ecumenical experience. We encourage the congregationto take part in all we do.
Many people travel a considerable distance to get to church. Sunday is the only opportunity for quite a few of them to gather with church friends. A congregational-sponsored Coffee Hour is well attended week after week. It is the best time for members to gather on a regular basis to talk to friends, do church business, or just relax and be with people.
We at Holy Cross love food and it is central to quite a few of our fellowship functions. Be it our Annual Meeting, Homecoming, Sunday School Picnic, or other event, we will gather and enjoy each other’s food and company.
Our primary fund-raisers are also great fellowship events. The Strawberry Festival gives us an opportunity to work for the good of the church, while having fun together.
There are many other activities that bring us together as well. These include: annual Spring and Fall cleanups, Baskets for the needy at Thanksgiving and Christmas, Senior luncheons, Christmas Greens sale, services at Hart Heritage, tending the grounds of Holy Cross, Harford Family House ( transitional housing for displaced families), and much more.
Our little church offers a great variety of fellowship opportunities. We are happy that so many join in and make this aspect of our religious experience so meaningful.
